Alcides Fonseca, LASIGE integrated researcher, visited the Higo Software Engineering Lab (Higo Lab) at the University of Osaka, Japan, in April 2025, presenting his work on the usability of liquid types, joint with LASIGE PhD students Catarina Gamboa and Paulo Canelas.

The presentation covered two empirical studies, one presenting the advantages of liquid types in finding and correcting bugs in Java (ICSE’23), and the other identifying the usability barriers of adopting liquid types (PLDI’25).
