The LASIGE and FCUL's spinoff – Vawlt – has received a new round of investment. It has secured more than half-million euros as additional funding from the investors: Armilar Venture Partners (original investor), Shilling Capital Partners, and Carlos Brazão (a former Cisco executive).
Vawlt has been founded by Alysson Bessani, LASIGE integrated researcher, and the former members: Ricardo Mendes, Tiago Oliveira.
The objective is to improve its multi-cloud storage product and scale its development and business team in 2021/22.
Vawlt’s product is a Dynamic Storage Platform unique in how it enables companies to simplify data storage in multiple clouds with maximum security and reliability levels, as well as in an economically efficient way.
This investment appeared on several news portals such as EU-STARTUP and at the Portuguese media: Dinheiro Vivo, Sapo, and Oservador.
