LASIGE’s researcher Ana Respício was awarded the IFIP Service Award for “outstanding contributions to IFIP and the Informatics Community”. The IFIP – International Federation for Information Processing is the leading multinational organization in Information & Communications. The federation’s activities are coordinated by 13 Technical Committees (TCs) organized into more than 100 Working Groups (WGs), linking more than 3500 scientists from Academia & Industry and being recognized by United Nations and other world bodies.
The distinction is awarded by IFIP’s General Assembly every year to recognize the active role played by the recipient at an IFIP body or in the organization of an important IFIP event. Ana Respício award was in recognition of service to IFIP Working Group 8.3 on Decision Support (TC8), since 2010, of which she is vice-chair (2014-2023).
