SPLASH, which is part of the top 4 annual conferences in the area of programming languages, took place from 22 to 27 October in Cascais.

Vasco Vasconcelos, LASIGE integrated member, was the conference’s General Chair, and several other LASIGE members helped organize the event: Diana Costa as Local Organisation Chair, Alcides Fonseca as Web and Publicity Chair, Guilherme Espada as Video Chair and Catarina Gamboa as Student Volunteer Chair. Several students also volunteered at the event, such as José Madeira, Paula Lopes, and João Ferreira.

The conference was a success and attracted 657 participants, who attended the presentation of the latest research work in the areas of programming languages, type systems, object orientation, live programming, design patterns, among others.
