LASIGE’s integrated researcher João Bimbo organised two workshops at the 20th edition of the Robotics: Science and Systems conference (RSS 2024). With Maria Pozzi (University of Siena), the researcher is organising the ‘Robots that help and ask for help’, the topic of which is assistive robotics. The second workshop, “Noosphere: Tactile Sensing for General Purpose Robot Learning“, is on robotic manipulation and is in collaboration with C. Sferrazza (UC Berkeley), D. Fernandes Gomes (King’s College London), Y. Yan (CNRS – LIRMM) and H. Ferrolho (Ocado Technology).

RSS 2024 has a long history of bringing together researchers from around the world in all areas of robotics. This year’s edition took place in Delft, Netherlands, from July 15-19, 2024.
