Nuno Neves, LASIGE integrated member, was invited to give a talk, entitled “Mingling with the good to backdoor federated learning”, at the 5th edition of DSPA Insights, organized by the Data Science Portuguese Association, held at Ciências ULisboa on 18 and 19 September, 2024.

Luís Carriço, LASIGE integrated member and Ciências ULisboa Dean, opened the event in which 700 experts in the field took part.

The theme of this edition was “AI Enhancing Business”, focusing on how AI has the capacity to boost businesses and companies. In addition to this central theme, topics as varied as the application of data science in industry, health, public services and sport, as well as new regulations and technological challenges were also covered.

DSPA, created in 2018, is an association that brings together data scientists, companies and institutions interested in data science. Ciências ULisboa is an institutional partner.
