LASIGE Talks’ 2025 edition

Date: 09/07/2025

The 13th and final LASIGE Talks edition of the 2025 academic year took place on June 25, highlighting the high-quality and diverse research carried out within the LASIGE research unit. The event has served as a valuable platform for sharing distinguished work conducted by LASIGE members.

This edition featured a distinguished paper presentation, a year-in-review recap, and a delicious pizza lunch. Diogo Branco presented his research, “Co-Designing Customizable Clinical Dashboards with Multidisciplinary Teams: Bridging the Gap in Chronic Disease Care”, about how technology and visual tools can help clinicians in their work, especially regarding information sharing, and how personalised dashboards can help them take action in clinical settings.

The LASIGE PhD Student Commission, which has been organizing these events, is very happy with the strong attendance and the engaging discussions that have followed most talks. “I hope these sessions have helped increase awareness of the work being done within LASIGE and encouraged more people to connect, share ideas, and collaborate” (David Gonçalves, PhD Student Commission Chair).

Laura Balbi, member of the PhD Student Commission, gave a recap of the year’s LASIGE Talks. Over the academic year, LASIGE Talks hosted 13 editions and welcomed 24 distinguished speakers. Adherence to the event was high, averaging 44 participants from across all academic levels, including MSc and PhD students, as well as integrated researchers.

The series will return in the next academic year, continuing to provide a platform for members to showcase their excellent work.
