At the ‘Spring Dialogues’ event, on 25 February 2026, researchers Alcides Fonseca and Leon Ingelse spoke to the Proença-a-Nova school group about the impact that the new generation of generative artificial intelligence is having on education and learning methods. Aiming to demystify what ChatGPT is, how it works and what its limitations are, the speakers discussed with the students the best ways to make the most of these technologies, their impact on education and society, and the ethical implications of their use and reliance on them.
The session took an interactive format, allowing students and teachers to raise their queries and ask questions of those who have been working with these technologies professionally for several years.
The event was an initiative of Farmácia Roda, with the support of the Municipality of Proença-a-Nova.
