Maria G. Silva, Tommaso Tragno, Leonardo Gonçalves, and José Cecílio, from LASIGE’s Cyber-Physical Systems research line (CPS), participated in the Rock in Rio exhibition, on 20, 21, 27 and 28 June 2026, showcasing several research projects focused on energy efficiency.

The team presented three interactive demonstrations showing how Cyber-Physical Systems and Internet of Things technologies can support more efficient and sustainable energy use. The exhibits included a smart metering box for monitoring and analyzing energy consumption, a solar tracker demonstrating how intelligent systems can improve solar energy harvesting, and a small interactive tic-tac-toe game designed to engage younger visitors with concepts related to technology and cyber-physical systems.

The exhibition gave LASIGE an opportunity to present its research to a broader audience, showing how Cyber-Physical Systems research can address practical energy-efficiency challenges while inspiring younger generations to explore science and technology.
