Teresa Chambel was invited Keynote Speaker at WebMedia 2016, a symposium that took place on November 8-11th, 2016, in Teresina, Piauí, Brazil.
Her international keynote was on “Interactive and Immersive Media Experiences”, on Nov 9th. The other international keynotes being on “Challenges on the Quality of the Web of Data” and “IoT Evolution: Internet of Everything and Next steps for enabling IoT ecosystems”, on Nov 10th.
WebMedia, in its 22nd edition, has been since 1995 the most important Brazilian forum for presentations, tutorials and discussions concerning recent advances in research and technology related to Multimedia, Hypermedia and the Web, bringing together professionals from both the academia and industry.
WebMedia 2016 addressed the topics of Web and Multimedia, organized in three main tracks:
- Digital TV, Ubiquitous and Mobile Computing
- Web and Social Networks
- Multimedia
and included: international and national keynotes; technical sessions for the presentation and discussion of scientific papers; workshops; and short courses. WebMedia 2016 and the satellite co-located events, ENUCOMP and WCASE, shared plenary sessions, including the keynote talks, and had around 500 participants.
