The paper “Forwarding in Opportunistic Information-Centric Networks: an Optimal Stopping Approach” co-authored by Naercio Magaia (LASIGE integrated researcher), has been accepted for publication at IEEE Communication Magazine, a top-ranked networking journal (IF: 10.356, h5-index 126).

This work proposes a novel Information-Centric Networking (ICN) forwarding strategy leveraging centrality and reliability metrics, and the optimal stopping theory to statistically select the best next-hop forwarders and the time to perform the forwarding decision.
