Alcides Fonseca, LASIGE integrated member, commented on the Radio France International (RFI), last 14may the effect of confinement measures on large technology companies as:

"It led to an exponential increase in the consumption of audiovisual content, which was verified by the rise in television audiences and especially in subscriptions to streaming platforms. However this increasement of subscribers does not necessarily translate into greater profitability for large companies, which have sought to adapt to the economic power of the population, that has been decreasing, especially in the middle classes."
