ACM IMX 2020 will take place in Barcelona, Spain, on June 17-19.

Teresa Chambel is Executive Vice-President of the ACM IMX / TVX Steering Committee since 2017, reelected in 2019.

This is the leading international conference for presentation and discussion of research into interactive media experiences. The conference brings together international researchers and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines, ranging from human-computer interaction, multimedia engineering and design to media studies, media psychology and sociology.

Started as EuroiTV (International Conference on Interactive TV and Video) in 2003 with the support of ACM, in Europe, where the interactive TV (iTV) research, development and market was stronger at the time. But soon attracted participants from several countries and continents. In 2014 had its first edition as ACM TVX (International Conference on Interactive Experiences for Television and Online Video), a fully ACM international conference, and in 2020 it became ACM IMX (International Conference on Interactive Media Experiences), encompassing the trend to go beyond TV to broader and more flexible, ubiquitous, interactive and immersive environments.

It has been the premier international conference on Interactive TV, Video and Media, integrating community members from ACM Multimedia, ACM CHI, and Media Industry.
