Alysson Bessani, LASIGE integrated researcher, has been appointed as the chair of CIRED working group 2020-3 on Cybersecurity in smart grids and associated standards.

The working group brings together representatives from power distribution utilities from more than 20 countries to discuss issues, recommendations and experiences for improving the cybersecurity of these critical utilities.

According to its webpage, “CIRED is dedicated to the design, construction and operation of public distribution systems and of large installations using electrical energy in industry, services and transport."
