Radu Onica won the Best Student Paper Award at INFórum 2015 – Simpósio de Informática, held in Covilhã, Portugal, September 7-8, 2015.
The prize , sponsored by MaxData, was awarded to the article Fault-Tolerant Precision Time Protocol for Smart Grids, by Radu Onica, Nuno Neves and António Casimiro.
Joana Velho, another researcher from LaSIGE was in list of nominated for the award, with the article Physical Intrusion Detection for Android Smartphones by Joana Velho, Diogo Marques, Tiago Guerreiro and Luís Carriço.

INFórum aims to be a key event for meeting of the national community in various aspects of informatics and aims to become the preferred forum for the dissemination, discussion and recognition of scientific papers. INFórum arises with particular opportunity as a stage for the debut of young researchers who seek the disclosure, constructive criticism and encouragement to their work.
INFórum aims to be comprehensive and dynamic on the set of topics covered. Will present a set of proposed topics and selected annually, with sessions organized and conducted independently. It promotes the critical mass for the strengthening and development of informatics in the country by creating simultaneously space to the evolution of the conference context and fostering the meeting of researchers in emerging fields.
