Carlos Duarte, LASIGE integrated member, was an invited speaker on the Second Seminar on Advanced Techniques in Human-Computer Interaction, that was held at the Faculty of Informatics in Donostia, University of the Basque Country, May 17, 2017.
Our researcher talked about “Adapting Social Networks for the Aged Population” as older adults still face challenges when interacting with Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This contributes to increase their feelings of isolation, since it prevents them from taking an active part in the online lives of their younger family members. He presented his work on the interface design and adaptation of the largest online social network – Facebook – in order to make it accessible for the senior population.
This seminar was organized by the ADIAN research group (supported by the Department of Education, Universities and Research of the Basque Government) with the collaboration of BaiLab and Egokituz.
