On March 17th, 2022, LASIGE integrated researcher Carlos Duarte was nominated the leader of Working Group 1 for the LEAD-ME Cost Action. Carlos Duarte, who was already one of the two Portuguese representatives in the LEAD-ME Management Committee, is now responsible for leading the activities in one of the four working groups of LEAD-ME.

LEAD-ME Working Group 1 activities are organized around collecting technologies resulting from previous and running EU projects addressing different accessibility domains. These will then be made available through an online platform, ensuring the availability of these resources after the termination of the EU projects.
