Teresa Chambel, LASIGE’s integrated member, was chair of the Doctoral Consortium at IMX 2022 – ACM International Conference on Interactive Media Experiences, in Aveiro, Portugal, on June 22-24, 2022.
ACM IMX is the leading international conference on interactive media experiences; with the theme “Interactive Media Brings us Together” in 2022: the first in-person (hybrid) conference after 2 online editions, throughout the pandemic in 2020 and 2021. The conference brings together international researchers and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines, ranging from human-computer interaction, multimedia engineering, and design to media studies, media psychology, and sociology, supported by ACM SIGCHI and ACM SIGMM.
The IMX 2022 Doctoral Consortium provided an opportunity for 6 Ph.D. students to present, explore, and develop their research interests, under the mentorship of 2 Doctoral Consortium Chairs and 3 invited Senior Researchers.
Each accepted submission was presented at the Doctoral Consortium, then also as a poster at the virtual conference platform, and at a madness pitch session during the main conference, enabling wider visibility of their work.
Teresa Chambel is also a member of the ACM IMX Steering Committee; in the role of Executive Vice-President in 2017-2022. At ACM IMX 2022, she was also chair of the XRWALC Workshop.
