LASIGE is delighted to announce that eight of our students have been awarded scholarships in the 2025 FCT Call for PhD Studentships across all scientific domains. This year, the call will fund a total of 1,550 scholarships, with 550 specifically designated for non-academic settings. Securing these scholarships is a significant achievement, as the approval rate for this year stands at 37%.

We extend our congratulations to Andreia Martins, Beatriz Nogueira, Catarina Canastra, Gil Silva, Isabel Trancoso, João Ferreira, Joel Samper, and Lucas Ferraz for their successful applications.

These FCT scholarships aim to support researchers in all scientific fields as they pursue their PhDs. Each of our students will be enrolled in the PhD Programme in Informatics at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, under the guidance of a senior member of LASIGE.
