Several LaSIGE members were involved in the organization of the “Girls in ICT Day” event, that occurred last April 23rd, 2015. The “Girls in ICT Day” – World Day for Young Women in Information and Communication Technologies, is an initiative of the International Telecommunication Union, that visa to raise awareness to young women about career opportunities in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

The FCUL Department of Informatics (DI) joined the international celebration of “Girls in ICT Day” by organizing the event “Girls in ICT @ Ciências.ULisboa”. The event brought together professionals, teachers and former and current students of the DI in an open discussion on this issue addressed to educators and young people today, the future women.
