Ibéria Medeiros, LASIGE integrated member, was invited by the Center for Research on Engineering Software systems (CRESS) at University of Reykjavik, to visit the university, give a talk on September 10, 2024, give two lectures of Methodologies Offensives and Defensives for Cybersecurity to Computer Sciences Master Students, and meet with CRESS researchers and master and PhD students.
The talk, entitled “Detecting Web Vulnerabilities using a Multi-Agent System”, addressed the prominent problem of software vulnerabilities and a recent work done at LASIGE by the PhD student Rafael Ramires with his supervisors in the context of the Dependable and Secure Decentralised Systems research line of LASIGE.
The visit also served to start the master dissertation co-supervision of the LASIGE master student Miguel Faísco, with Hans Reiser, from University of Reykjavik, and to discuss future collaboration opportunities between LASIGE and CRESS. Miguel is developing his dissertation on University of Reykjavik in context of detection and classification of cyberthreats using honeypots and machine learning.
