Ana Luísa Respício, LASIGE integrated members, was one of the organizers of the final event of the Technovation Girls Challenge Portugal, which was held at Ciências ULisboa on 24 May 2025, in Lisbon.

Ana Paula Afonso, Luís Carriço, and Manuel Fonseca, integrated members of LASIGE, also cooperated in the event, inspiring the participants.

The event challenges more than 100 young girls, aged 8 to 18, to develop technological solutions to real problems in their communities, encouraging them to learn about ideation, programming, communication and entrepreneurship, and more 35 teams and 48 mentors.

The Technovation Girls Challenge Portugal Programme is coordinated by Happy Code, a technology school whose mission is to train young people in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math).
