LASIGE members among those distinguished by CIÊNCIAS ULisboa (CIÊNCIAS) on its 115th anniversary, 22 April 2026.
The event was dedicated to the recognition of excellence at CIÊNCIAS and, once again, several LASIGE students and teachers were recognized for their work accomplishments:
Maxdata Informatics Awards of Excellence 2024/2025
(awarded to the best students of the Department of Informatics courses)
- Bachelor in Computer Engineering: Pedro Mendes
- Master Programme in Computer Science: Pedro Costa
- Master Programme in Cybersecurity: Henrique Marques
- PhD Programme in Informatics: Joel Samper

Recognition of Teaching Excellence – Honorable Mention: Ibéria Medeiros
Carlos Duarte was also recognized for his ‘25 years at the service of CIÊNCIAS’ and Luís Carriço, recently former CIÊNCIAS Dean (2018-2026), received the Award for Impact on the CIÊNCIAS Community.
