Date: 13/02/2025

The LASIGE PhD Student Commission, composed of David Gonçalves, Laura Balbi, Daniel Reis, Joel Samper (Sam), Mryam Lofti and Bakary Badjie, organized the visit to “Torre do Tombo”. It is the Portugal’s central archive, since the Middle Ages, with over 600 years old, located in the University of Lisbon, in a building designed by the architect Arsénio Cordeiro, classified as a monument of public interest since 2012.

There will be two guided visits, one on February 13 and another on February 14, which will be attended by approximately 40 people in total. This visit is part of the social activities carried out by the LASIGE PhD Student Commission, in addition to the co-organization of the LASIGE events (Welcome Day, Workshop, Forum, Talks).

The commission aims to explore science intersections as a group by bringing LASIGE members together through knowledge-promoting events and social activities, with the main objective to unite the team.
