Pedro Antunes, LASIGE integrated member, published the article ““What’s Going On” with BizDevOps: A qualitative review of BizDevOps practice” in the Computers in Industry journal.
This study investigates an emerging, radical software development trend known as BizDevOps (which backs another trend known as xOps). BizDevOps builds on modern information systems architectures (e.g., microservices) to define a near-real-time, integrated business and software development approach. The study adopts a new research method to theorize about the phenomenon of interest using online practitioner discourse. Finally, the study also discusses the significant socio-technical implications brought by BizDevOps, challenging established organizational structures and information systems analysis and design practices.
