The LASIGE Winter Forum, organised by the PhD Student Commission, took place today, the 16th of December 2022.
The program was diverse and ambitious. Among other activities, it included: a keynote speech by Luís Duarte, researcher at Sony Interactive Entertainment; a panel about “What does the future hold for Explainable AI?”, featuring the LASIGE integrated members, Luís Correia, Cátia Pesquita, and the LASIGE PhD Students, Pedro Barbosa, Rita Sousa, Ruben Branco; and the following talks by PhD students, exploring different subjects:
- Tiago Carvalho “Coordinating and regulating the IoT mess with SIRE”
- Duarte Saraiva “Development of an artificial intelligence-based assisted navigation and diagnosis solution for a pulmonary point-of-care ultrasound”
- Karina Rebuli “Progressive insular cooperative genetic programming for classification and regression problems”
- Pedro Pais “Leveraging games to promote family interaction”
