On January 21, 2026, the LASIGE Scientific Council elected the Executive Committee (EC) for the 2026–2027 term, composed of Tiago Guerreiro (Director), Cátia Pesquita and Vinicius Cogo (Vice-Directors), and Rúben Gouveia (member).

Tiago Guerreiro thanked Alysson Bessani, former Director, for his leadership over the past four years (2022-2025) and expressed his gratitude to the Scientific Council for its trust and confidence.

The new Executive Committee will build on LASIGE’s strong foundations and internationally recognized excellence, while advancing a strategic agenda focused on strengthening institutional partnerships, fostering innovation and technology transfer, investing in advanced training, and further consolidating LASIGE as an open, diverse, and collaborative research community with strong scientific and societal impact.
