Luís Carriço, Dean of Ciências ULisboa and an integrated member of LASIGE, was invited to give his perspective on 2025, as one of the 184 leaders of the Portuguese economy, in the newspaper “Jornal de Negócios”.

Investment in research and knowledge by all sectors of society and the move towards efficient, modern and quality education is one of his ideas and wishes for Portugal in 2025. Carriço also wants autonomy in Academia, ‘without the tutelary temptations of excessive control’, to promote strategic and competitive opportunities for Higher Education Institutions.
