LASIGE’s integrated researcher Nuno Neves was elected Chair of IEEE Technical Committee on Dependable Computing and Fault Tolerance (IEEE TCFT) for the 2021-2022 period. The TCFT provides a forum for the exchange of ideas in the technical field of dependable computing. It is aimed at identifying and integrating approaches for specifying, designing, building, assessing, validating, operating and maintaining computer systems where faults are considered as natural, anticipated events, and thus, can be tolerated.  The researcher was Vice-Chair of the organisation in the two previous years.
