The paper “Explainable representations for relation prediction in knowledge graphs”, co-authored by LASIGE’s researchers Rita Sousa, Sara Silva, and Cátia Pesquita, has been accepted at the 20th International Conference on Principles of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning (KR 2023), a top-ranked venue (CORE A*) that will take place from September 2-8 in Rhodes, Greece.
The authors proposed a new approach for explainable representations to support relation prediction in knowledge graphs in the paper. It is based on identifying relevant shared semantic aspects between two entities and learning representations for each aspect, producing a multi-faceted and explainable representation.
