Sara C. Madeira, LASIGE integrated researcher, has published a co-authored paper “Mining actionable patterns of road mobility from heterogeneous traffic data using biclustering”, at IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, a high-impact journal.
This work, using the city of Lisbon as a guiding case, illustrates the relevance of biclustering geolocalized speed data and loop counter data. The gathered results confirm the role of biclustering in comprehensively finding statistically significant and actionable spatiotemporal associations of road mobility. It leads to comprehensive access to road traffic patterns, the key to achieving sustainable mobility.
