Sara Silva, LASIGE integrated member, was re-elected for one more mandate (2023/2024) as a member of the Executive Board of the SPECIES Society.

SPECIES is the Society for the Promotion of Evolutionary Computation in Europe and its Surroundings and provides an appropriate legal structure for the organization and support of the EvoStar Conferences.

It aims to promote evolutionary algorithmic thinking within Europe and wider, and more generally to promote inspiration of parallel algorithms derived from natural processes.
