Sara Silva, LASIGE integrated member, was re-elected member of the Executive Board of the SPECIES Society, for one more mandate (2020/2021).

SPECIES is the Society for the Promotion of Evolutionary Computation in Europe and its Surroundings and since 1998 that has been organizing and supporting the EvoStar Conferences.

It aims to promote evolutionary algorithmic thinking within Europe and wider, and more generally to promote inspiration of parallel algorithms derived from natural processes.
