The partners of the SATO project had their first presential meeting last week. The meeting took place from October 20 to 22 at the facilities of Ciências ULisboa, the coordinating institution. The project started one year ago, on October 1, 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the gathering of the partners has only been possible now that the restrictive measures have been eased.
In anticipation of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2021, celebrated from October 25 to 29, the SATO team, together with its sister European project, the Auto DAN project, hosted on the first day of the event a ‘Sustainable Energy Day’, via GoToWebinar. The theme was “AI² for self-assessment of building energy performance” and focused on how advanced technologies such as Augmented Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence (AI²) can significantly improve buildings energy consumption and efficiency.
The agenda of the following days focused on the SATO project and its progress one year after its inception. This meeting was crucial because it allowed the team to fine-tune objectives, better define tasks and align the expectations of all partners towards a more solid project development.
