Talk: Co-Designing Customizable Clinical Dashboards With Multidisciplinary Teams: Bridging The Gap In Chronic Disease Care

Managing chronic diseases benefits from a multidisciplinary approach and ongoing monitoring of symptoms and events, both inside and outside clinical settings. Advances in sensors and devices enable rich data collection and insights. However, real-world clinical applications remain limited, often focusing narrowly on data from a single device or context. We explored the challenges and opportunities of multidisciplinary dashboards in chronic care through focus groups and co-design workshops with clinicians and HCI researchers. Our findings
highlight how technological outcomes and visualizations can support clinical practice and the intricacies of information-sharing dynamics. We discuss the value of customizable dashboards for triggering actions in clinical settings.
