João Guerreiro, LASIGE integrated member, received the Best Paper Award of the "ACM Interactive Surfaces and Spaces Conference" (ACM ISS2020), held virtually, in Lisbon, November, 8-11, 2020.

The paper “Collaborative Tabletops for Blind People: The Effect of Auditory Design on Workspace Awareness”, co-authored by Daniel Mendes, Sofia Reis, Hugo Nicolau, was the only Best Paper award given this year at the conference, that indicates that this paper was identified by the ISS Program Committee Members and ISS Best Paper Committee as the top 1% of all submissions to ISS 2020.

This conference is the premier venue for research in the design, development, and use of new and emerging interactive surface technologies and interactive spaces.
