Tiago Guerreiro, LASIGE integrated member, delivered a keynote talk at the 28th edition of TISE 2025, an international conference dedicated to technologies in education, held in Recife, Brazil, on 2-4 December, 2025.

The keynote focused on inclusive technologies for collaboration and play, presenting a body of work developed by the lab in collaboration with national and international partners. The talk covered research on inclusive programming activities for children with mixed visual abilities, inclusive play and games, and inclusive Human–Robot Interaction, highlighting how interactive technologies can be designed to support participation, agency, and shared meaning across diverse abilities. A recurring theme of the keynote was the importance of designing technology for what people value, advocating for design approaches that foreground human goals, relationships, and creativity.

In addition to the keynote, Tiago Guerreiro was also invited to deliver a short course on AI for inclusive education, addressing how AI technologies can be used to promote inclusion, collaboration, and critical engagement in learning contexts.

This participation reinforces the lab’s international visibility and its sustained engagement with the Brazilian research and education communities, as well as its commitment to advancing inclusive, playful, and human-centred approaches to educational technology.
