Tiago Guerreiro, LASIGE’s integrated member, was invited to be a panelist at the warm-up event “Esquenta” for the WEI 2022 of the 42nd “Congresso da Sociedade Brasileira de Computação” (CSBC) (Congress of the Brazilian Computing Society, in English), held on March 23, 2022.

WEI is an important forum for people involved in coordinating undergraduate and graduate courses; pedagogical direction and coordination of basic education schools; teachers; undergraduate students, as well as industry professionals interested in discussing their experiences and needs to advance computer education and training.

This panel aimed to present the challenges and opportunities in teaching-learning strategies for more inclusive education in education, challenges, and research perspectives. It is a shared account of the teaching-learning experience of programming for students with visual impairments, both from the teaching and student perspectives. Research results on human-computer interaction, and accessibility technology through human-computer interaction are presented.
