Tiago Guerreiro, LASIGE’s integrated member, was the guest of the interview TV show “Let’s drink a coffee and talk about it”, broadcasted on RTP2, February 20, 2022, which addressed the recent CMU|Portugal project “Exploring the Transfer of Agency to Older Adults in HRI”.
Tiago Guerreiro, project’ IR at LASIGE, and Jodi Forlizzi, Carnegie Mellon University, are leading the studies about how can we change the agency from robots to people and help them do things that they value, supporting them to achieve their goals. How can older adults control or program a robot to perform tasks? The vision is to advance research on human-robot interaction to facilitate a new relationship between elders and assistive robots.
The project will allow the team to continue research at the intersection between accessibility and human-robot interaction, co-designing and evaluating responsible scenarios in which robots serve the needs of society.
The show is based on an informal conversation between the host and a guest about a specific topic while sharing a cup of coffee.
