Tiago Guerreiro named ACM Distinguished Member 2025

Tiago Guerreiro, LASIGE integrated member and Vice-Director, has been named an ACM Distinguished Member in the 2025 class by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), one of the leading global professional societies in computing.

ACM has recognized 61 new Distinguished Members who were selected by their peers for “significant technical achievements and/or volunteer service” across a wide range of computing areas. The ACM Distinguished Member grade acknowledges those with at least 15 years of professional experience who have made notable accomplishments and impactful contributions to the computing field, and is awarded to no more than 10 % of ACM’s worldwide membership.

In the official list, Tiago Guerreiro is cited for his contributions to mobile, educational, and health technologies for people with disabilities, reflecting his longstanding work at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, accessibility, and digital health.
