LASIGE’s integrated researcher Vânia Mendonça has been recognized with the Outstanding PC Member Award at 27th Edition of the European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI 2024).

The Outstanding PC Member Award intends to highlight the crucial role of programme committee (PC) members in maintaining the high standards of academic conferences. It acknowledges exceptional contributions, such as providing outstanding reviews and actively engaging in PC discussions. This distinction is awarded to only 2-3% of all regular PC members contributing to the conference.

ECAI 2024, organized by the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI) and the Spanish Artificial Intelligence Society (AEPIA), took place from October 19 to 2024, 2024, in Santiago de Compostela. The conference celebrated 50 years of European AI research and gathered leading researchers, students, and industry professionals through technical sessions, invited talks, workshops, and tutorials.
