Vasco Vasconcelos, an integrated researcher at LASIGE, is the Program Chair for INForum 2026 – Simpósio de Informática, alongside Ana Alonso, and the event will be held on September 3–4 in Setubal. The 16th edition of the annual national symposium brought together researchers, students, and industry professionals for a two-day lunch-to-lunch event covering various areas of computer science.

The event will feature oral paper presentations, poster sessions, live demonstrations, and keynote lectures by invited experts. As the major national computer science symposium in Portugal, INForum fosters scientific exchange and connections among the country’s next generation of engineers and researchers.

In addition to Vasco Vasconcelos heading the overall program committee, several other LASIGE researchers joined the program committees across various thematic tracks. Also, work from LASIGE’s students was accepted for presentation at the conference.

This involvement reflects LASIGE’s ongoing presence at INForum, where members of the research unit have regularly participated over the years as organisers, session chairs, committee members, and authors.
