LaSIGE recently received the notification of 3 papers accepted in the prestigious conference ACM ASSETS 2015, the flagship conference for learning computer Science. This year edition will be held in Lisbon, Portugal from October 26th to 28th, 2015.

Abstract: Presents a longitudinal study with blind people to understand the expectations, difficulties, needs and benefits of going from using a feature phone (with physical keys) to using a touch smartphone.
Title: Typing Performance of Blind Users: An Analysis of Touch Behaviors, Learning Effect, and In-Situ Usage
Abstract: Presents a longitudinal study looking at touch typing behaviours of blind people.
Title Usage of Subjective Scales in Accessibility Research
Abstract: Analyses the usage of subjective scales in accessibility research and makes the case for methodological aspects that need to be accounted for in future research in this area.
