LASIGE researchers Carlos Duarte and Letícia Seixas Pereira organized the Research Symposium “Evaluating Accessibility: Meeting Key Challenges” as part of the H2020 project Web Accessibility Initiative – Communities of Practice (WAI-CooP). The symposium, held online on November 16, 2023, brought together 172 participants, fostering collaborative discussions among researchers and practitioners.

The primary objective of the symposium was to tackle essential challenges within accessibility research and practice, delving into best practices and overcoming obstacles in accessibility evaluation and monitoring. The symposium focused on three pivotal areas: digital accessibility training, mobile accessibility, and Artificial Intelligence. Its purpose was to discern opportunities for improvement in these critical domains.
