LASIGE researcher José Cecílio has successfully obtained funding for the RobustSAR Portugal-Germany Bilateral Cooperation 2024 initiative. The RobustSAR project seeks to build and strengthen a collaborative research network focused on control theory, mobile robotics, networks, and artificial intelligence.
The collaboration brings together researchers from the University of Lisboa and TU Bergakademie Freiberg, combining complementary expertise and shared resources. The project will leverage the robotic platform from TU Bergakademie Freiberg as a key asset for joint experiments and discussions.
By joining efforts, the team aims to develop new methods that enhance the robustness of CNN-based image segmentation and classification, thereby improving the trustworthiness of robotic navigation in uncertain environments.
