Francisco M Couto presented the tutorial Biomedical Text Processing using Semantics at the 43rd European Conference on Information Retrieval (ECIR 2021). The tutorial addressed the challenges encountered when processing the ever-increasing amount of biomedical text, particularly the highly specialized domain knowledge and inconsistency of the nomenclature.
