Several LaSIGE members are involved in the organization of the “Girls in ICT @ Ciências.ULisboa”, that will take place next April 30th, 2016.
With this event, the Department of Informatics (DI) at Faculdade de Ciências, Universidade de Lisboa, joins the international celebration of the “International Girls in ICT Day”.

The event will bring together professionals, teachers and former and current students of the DI in short talks, round tables and workshops, to address the immense opportunities in the area, share experiences, and discuss ideas, with young women and educators.

The International Girls in ICT of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is a global effort to raise awareness on empowering and encouraging girls and young women to consider studies and careers in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
