The KATY project’s team released a video for the World Kidney Cancer Day, featuring LASIGE’s researcher Cátia Pesquita. The video, aiming to raise awareness for renal cancer, presented the project’s purpose. The project results will be applied to a complex and low prevalence cancer, clear cell renal cell carcinoma.

In the video, Cátia Pesquita (who leads LASIGE participation in the H2020 funded project) explains how artificial intelligence (AI) can improve the treatment of such ailments by personalizing the diagnostic process and the therapeutic approaches. The novel AI methodologies are being developed at LASIGE.
