LASIGE is represented in the COST Action COST OC-2019-1-24104 "Connecting Education and Research Communities for an Innovative Resource Aware Society" (CERCIRAS), approved in the beginning of April. LASIGE’s participation is led by António Casimiro.

COST Action are transnational and interdisciplinary research networks, involving European and international Partners and funded by the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST). Through these networks, that run through 4 years, COST provides funds for organising meetings, training schools, short term scientific missions or other networking activities in a wide range of scientific topics promoting global networking of national-funded research.

CERCIRAS counts with the participation of 62 researchers from 59 different institutions spread through 27 countries (of which, 26 are EU members). Approximately 30% of the researchers are women. Anónio Casimiro and LASIGE are 1 of the, respectively, 5 Portuguese researchers and institutions participating.
