LASIGE took part, once again, in the CIÊNCIAS ULisboa Jobshop 2026 on 15 April. The event aims to be a privileged forum for bringing students and graduates of CIÊNCIAS ULisboa closer to the labour market. The Faculty is part of the largest and most competitive university in Portugal and is recognized for its teaching and research quality in all areas. About 70 organizations participated in the event, mainly, companies in the tech and consulting area, and the Faculty’s R&D units.

LASIGE’s Master’s and PhD students introduced visitors to the unit’s research lines and projects, its multidisciplinary approach and their own research work; they also had the opportunity to promote the ‘LASIGE Summer of Research’ initiative, which aims to attract Master’s students to work with them.

We welcomed over 100 visitors from a wide range of backgrounds (including PhD students and postdoctoral researchers), but the majority were undergraduate students (50–60%), from various degree programmes: Biology; Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics; Biochemistry; LTI; Computer Engineering; Mathematics/Applied Mathematics or students on the Master’s programmes in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology and Data Science.
